ARE YOU UP FOR A CHALLENGE?

Posted on December 09 2009

Take the Ten Toque Challenge & extend a helping hand to the homeless in communities across Canada

Times are tough – especially for the homeless. This year, more than ever, Raising the Roof needs your support for our annual Toque Campaign. The campaign raises money to help fund agencies that provide shelter, food, job training and other supports in communities across Canada. Campaign proceeds also contribute to our ultimate goal – to bring about long-term solutions to homelessness. We would like to thank the thousands of volunteers from across Canada who came out to participate in Toque Tuesday, our National Public Awareness Day on February 3rd. There is still time for you to make a difference. The Toque Campaign runs until the end of February.

The difference your Ten-Toques order can make

  • a hot lunch every day for a month for someone struggling
  • for Dillon, trying to hold down his first job and pay rent, it’s a bus pass
  • For Indra, it’s after school support for her young daughter

To order your toques contact us at 905.528.5629, Ext. 240 or visit www.wesleyurbanministries.ca

Raising the Roof is Canada’s only national charity dedicated to long-term solutions to homelessness.
